Abstract：
Taiwan Earth System Model version 1 (TaiESM1) is the first complex global climate model developed by domestic scientists. TaiESM1 has participated in the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project phase 6 (CMIP6), and the outcome of CMIP6 is used as the scientific basis of IPCC AR6. This talk will introduce the fundamental concept and brief history of climate models. Then the coding structure, physical features, and performance of TaiESM1 will be elaborated.
