Abstract:
The multiscale physics of ocean, coastal current and coastline for which the effects of tides and currents are important. For Kuroshio wake caused by the Green Island, past research indicated that the wake behaves a vortex street appeared in the rear of the island, which will produce upwelling or downwelling phenomena. For model the island wake a global low-resolution ocean model is first performed, and the results are used as the boundary condition for a local high-resolution model to simulate the island wake. Furthermore, like the marine debris issue or applications of the multiscale ocean hydrodynamics.
