Abstract：
A new methodology is developed in this study to overcome the weakness of the existing CODAR packaged software in missing-data gaps and to extract the surface current velocity from HF radial measurements. A three-site network of CODAR and bottom-mounted ADCPs around/in the Block Island Sound near the New York Bight was used to demonstrate the capability and feasibility of the new methodology due to the fact that many CODAR and ADCP studies have been conducted in this region.
