Abstract:
Tornadoes are among the most violent and destructive phenomena in nature. As far as I know, only one person survived to tell her experience. What do we and don't we know about how tornadoes are formed? How are they different from typhoons? Why do they predominantly form in certain parts of the world and not in other parts? Do they always rotate in one direction, and why or why not? Can they form over the ocean? We will learn and debate about these and many other related things.
